Designed for pupils with complex learning difficulties; often characterised as pupils presenting with difficulties with social interaction, rigidity in behaviour, sensory sensitivities, a tendency to preferring isolation to socialisation. This curriculum pathway is split into 6 key areas; communication, independence, creativity, outdoor school, sensory play, and physical wellbeing. A key feature of this pathway is for the pupils to understand their wants, needs and feelings, to learn how to communicate appropriately and learn how to take control of their own behaviour (self-regulation).
