Vacancies for Bedford Inclusive Learning & Training Trust (BILTT)

Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust (BILTT) was formed in October 2016 when St John’s Special School & College and Greys Education Centre joined together to become a Multi Academy Trust (MAT), in September 2017 we were joined by Grange Academy.

 Together, as BILTT, we are now well positioned to drive forward our plans for continued improvement and to work collaboratively with the local community of mainstream schools and partners

BILTT has just been selected by the DfE to set up, lead and manage a new Free Special School in Bedford.
This is due to open in 2020.

St John’s is an all-age (2-19) special school catering for 170 pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties.  We have been judged outstanding by Ofsted in 4 consecutive inspections and are highly regarded within Bedfordshire and the Eastern Region.

There are excellent opportunities for professional development within St John’s and across the BILTT. We have an unrivalled professional development programme at our school and would welcome applications from NQTs.

Term time only employees are not entitled to annual leave during school term, except in extreme circumstances, and then only once considered and granted at the discretion of the Head of School. Applicants must be prepared to work at any of the sites occupied by BILTT, where applicable. St John’s staff are expected to work at either the main site or our FE site at KCA, Hill Rise, Kempston
