The school is staffed by a Headteacher, 2 Assistant Headteachers, a Leadership Support/Inclusion Manager, a Leadership Support/Curriculum Manager and 16 teachers.

In addition, higher level teaching assistants, teaching assistants, learning support assistants and midday supervisory assistants work alongside the teachers.

 

Music Therapists visit to work with pupils.  Specialist support from Bedford Primary CareTrust Shires Health & Care Trust is provided by a School Nursing Team, 2 part-time physiotherapists, part-time occupational therapists and a part time speech and language therapist.

 

Although St. John’s is a Foundation Special School, the Local Authority remains responsible for providing support in terms of co-ordination for deaf/blind pupils and the educational psychologist.
